Monthly debt burden
DebtsThe numbers shown come from a sample profile for illustration – in the calculator you see your own values.
The monthly debt burden is the sum of all repayment installments – money that is committed to loans every month and therefore not available for investing or quality of life.
Context:The debt burden ties up a fixed part of your income every month. In your cash flow it appears as "debt repayment" under asset shifts: it reduces obligations and therefore counts positively towards your savings rate – it is not part of net cash flow (external income and expenses only). Once all debts are paid off, this amount becomes free for investing or lifestyle.
How it is calculated
Monthly burden = Σ monthly repayment installments of all debts
